Build Positive Relationships
|
Relationships are Key"No significant learning happens without a significant relationship."
-Dr. James Coner A strong positive relationship is at the heart of every learning opportunity. Rita Pierson said it best when she said, "kids don't learn from teachers they don't like". Teachers should spend a large portion of time investing in building positive relationships with their students. Relationship building strategies should be built into lesson planning, just like academics. The strategies listed below can help build sustained positive relationships in the classroom for teachers and students. |
